There are no rules now. When planning a wedding, couples used to have to follow a certain appropriate protocol. The groom wore a suit or a tuxedo. The Bride wore white (or off white). There was a formal ceremony, a polite reception, a guest book, a flower girl, a ring bearer, rice and a get-away car. These days it’s anything goes and brides and grooms customize their wedding to fit their personal styles and personalities. And honestly, I love it!
It was no surprise to me that Cody and Brittany’s wedding was anything but normal. I recall shopping last year in Spirit (the Halloween store) and running into both Cody and Brittany who were working there part-time simply because they love Halloween so much. So, again, it was no surprise that their wedding had a spooky vibe to it…from pumpkins, to purple and black and orange decorations to the coolest coffin ring cases I ever have seen.
I have known Cody since he was in elementary school…he has always been quirky in a really good way. Like a really really good way. Funny and fun-loving. I’m so happy that he met Brittany who is just as wonderful. They are absolutely perfect for one another. <3
So,on an absolutely gorgeous Fall day in Southern Oregon, these two said their I do’s under a spooky and wise old tree, surrounded by family and friends. If you want to know about someone’s heart, look at the love they received because it’s a true measurement of the love they give. And Brittany and Cody are very loved.
Thank you Cody and Brittany…all my love to you both. xoxo
