Oh, to be 8 years old again. Still a little girl who likes to play with stuffed animals, climb trees, wear pretty dresses, not brush her hair, run barefoot, catch lizards and frogs, snuggle with her mommy and daddy and dream of having four animal rescue homes…sounds like a nice life to me.

In between rain showers I was able to photograph 5-year-old Carlen this past week. She was busy and on the move but managed to settle herself a few times to sit for me. Little kids have the best energy and show a great range of emotions. Even their sad faces are adorable! If you hadn’t noticed, Carlen’s favorite color is RED! I love it when kids dress themselves…they often pick out the most interesting combinations. I think she looks adorable.
